Acrylic resins are a group of related thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic substances derived from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or other related compounds. Acrylic resins feature excellent transparency and durability. They are used in a broad range of applications from familiar items like lenses to molding materials, coatings, and adhesives because of these characteristics. Acrylic resins are also featured in many applications such as binders for paper/fiber processing, PC screens, display windows for cellular phones, and backlights for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). In particular, they possess excellent durability and weather resistance as a coating material and are widely used for automotive coatings, architectural coatings, and plastic coatings.
